ART ITINERARY
These tours are created both for those who wish to visit the famous Florentine museums such as the Uffizi, the Accademia, Bargello or the Palazzo Pitti, and for those who already know Florence but want to be guided through the secret and most hidden parts of the city.
We have developed a wide variety of itineraries characterized by different aspects of the city. You could visit smaller museums with wonderful examples of art and craft of majolica, jewellery, hard stones and historic costumes as well as unknown churches and hidden aspects of well known museums such as the Accademia or get a taste for how ancient Florentine aristocrats used to live.
We only accept small groups, in order to give you the possibility to gain a larger and deeper knowledge of our Secret Florence. If you decide to choose a morning tour you could combine it with a typical Tuscan lunch in a Florentine Trattoria.

FOOD LOVERS ITINERARY
If you have already visited the Uffizi gallery or admired the David and are food and wine enthusiasts, then this tour is for you. Relax yourselves and prepare to spend a day intoxicated by wonderful Italian scents and tastes. This Florence tour involves a full morning of tasting and learning about the fine gastronomy of Florence, ending with a Trattoria lunch. We begin the morning with the S. Lorenzo market, known to all as the central market, where walking among the kiosques of fresh fruits and vegetables, tripe, cheeses, fresh pasta and salami products, you will breathe the true Tuscan air in the heart of a Florence of a thousand colours, scents and flavours. You will then continue tasting your way through Florence by traipsing through local markets, trying olive oils, wine sipping, tasting the famous “cantuccini” biscotti from Prato that we eat dipped in Vin Santo, savoring truffle sandwiches with prosecco , and many more unique surprises finally ending with a Trattoria lunch. We like to keep our groups small in order to maintain an intimate environment and maximize the amount of personal attention devoted to each individual.

GUIDED BOAT TOUR: Punting down THE ARNO UNDER PONTE VECCHIO
The Renaioli (the ancient name given to the men who pole their boats down the river) with their traditionally built crafts allow you to enjoy the unique opportunity of been punted down the Arno River, and a guide will pick out the monuments and ancient palaces of Florence from this unusual perspective. The trip begins at the "Porticciola" (close to the Ponte Vecchio ) at the Ponte (bridge) Alle Grazie , the boat passes in front of Uffizi gallery, under the Ponte Vecchio (old bridge), while your guide explains the history of the Palazzos on the riverbanks and points out other details visible only from the water. The boat then gently makes its way down towards the Ponte Santa Trinita and finally to the Ponte Carraia where the boat turns round and makes its way back to the Ponte alle Grazie . The boats cannot pass for beyond these bridges, as there are " pescaie "- small waterfalls. The river and the riverbanks of Florence are so full of history and your guide will bring alive their importance as a setting for commerce, historic events and personalities from the Roman, Medieval, Renaissance eras right up to recent times.
