Villa Medicea di Petraia, Firenze
Made in 1537, again for Cosimo de' Medici. In 1872 it became a property of Vittorio Emanuele,
king of Italy. Part of the garden has been changed in a Victorian style, very fashionable at his time.
Villa Capponi, Firenze
One of the most beautiful gardens on the Florentine hills. In 1572, belonged to the Capponi family,
changing hands during the centuries.
Villa Gamberaia, Settignano
The most famous garden of the Florentine villas, started by the Capponi family in 1718. In 1896,
Princess Ghika of Serbia made the main water parterres in front of the villa. It has been restored by the Marchi family.
Villa le Balze, Fiesole
Designed by the English architect Cecil Pinsent for the American C. H. Strong in 1912.
The garden develops on different levels following the hill, divided in "garden rooms" with a great view of Florence from above.
Cetinale, Siena
Villa made in the 17th century by the architect Fontana for the Chigi family from Siena.
The garden develops along an axis from the top of the hill at the "Romitorio", through the villa to the statue of Ercole over the villa
itself.

Owned by the Aldobrandini family since 14th Century.
The garden designed originally by Baldassarre Peruzzi in 1500, modified later till the end of 17th century.
Villa Reale di Marlia, Lucca
A grand property built by the Orsetti family from Lucca in 1600. Acquired by Elisa Baciocchi,
sister of Napoleone Bonaparte, was enlarged and modified. Still intact the beautiful features of 1600.
Villa Grabau, Lucca
Made for the Diodati family in 1500, became of the Orsetti in 1670.
In 1854 with the building of the Cittadella ,
the garden was made a more informal and in an "English Style", with the planting of big trees. Because of its
botanical interest, this is one of the most important garden.
Villa Garzoni, Lucca
Designed in 17th century, the garden develops trough a woodland along a staircase with fountains and water features.
